I am no censor either. But I do think it is unforgivable that such 'moronic offerings' should be representative of our industry. So rather than become a 'censor', I'd rather become your guardian angel and warn you to RUN for your life.

You stated that the mods acted inexcusably, which in your assessment, is the only way they can act in your judgement of them as inexcusable people. To those of you who cannot see the points of Engfants posts, I offer you my condolences. His methods may be unorthodox, but the messages are as plane as the nose on your face.
He has been in this industry long enough to provide good, solid advice. He is an expert in lamps and has provided avise to many a novice.

Why am I giving him credit? After all, we have been on opposite sides of sunless and other issues. I see what he says as advice.

It's "the forest for the trees, fool.", as Engfant would say. Could you paste in an example of some decent advice he gave to a novice regarding lamps? I did look them up. There aren't any. I didn't call you any names either. I was merely trying to get the euphamism correct. He may not be your friend, but you do look up to him. Why else would you defend Him? We don't need to take turns. I knew you wouldn't take the time to back up your assertions. I really don't care one way or the other if someone likes Engfant or not. I look up to most people as I am rather short. However, as I have owned my own salon, I have found that there are jewels in every statement, even his. I am defending his ability to state his opinion without having to be condemed. I too have been in his position and feel that censure should be for statements and not personal attitudes.

Here are soame comments from the past that were made by the Donkey. In some he talked about lamps, after people asked about what is best or what can fit into certain beds...

Look at it this way. If the lamp is concentrating all it's energy on only 30% of the lamp it's gunna be much stronger than if the lamp is throwing the UV everywhere including BEHIND it.

I'm willing to bet that this VHO is in the base of this bed? If so, NO REFLECTOR LAMP. You will ROAST *** and not in a good way.

Remember, we are talking about QUALITY LAMPS here. Not generic knock-offs. NO ONE knows what's gunna happen there."
