Grocery Store & Snow Storms?

I have had 5 clients now cancel tonight because of this storm and they have to go to the grocery store. I know that there has been many posts on the storms but why do people feel they have to go to the grocery store before a storm? It's not like they are going to be snowed in for a week, only a couple hours. I heard someone refer it to as the French Toast storm (Milk, Bread & Eggs) that's what everyone buys. This is crazy. I only want the Eagles field ready to go. Fly Eagles Fly!

I know..I was going to go get a few things after work and decided that since the normal Friday night grocery shoppers would be out plus the 'French Toast' Shoppers (I love that BTW) I wasn't going. There is nothing I need that bad today! You would think it is an impending national disaster

It’s that way here in NC too. Make one mention of snow or ice and everyone runs to the grocery store for milk, bread and eggs! That’s pretty much normal for some parts of the country. On the other hand I lived in Michigan for a while and those folks up there don’t do that at all. Snow to them is a way of life.

I think the truth of the matter is the roads. People around here won’t get out in it unless it’s an emergency. It takes the NC DOT forever to sand and salt the roads around here. (If then) It truly isn’t safe to get out if you don’t have too in NC after a snowstorm. 2 or 3 inches will keep folks in the house for days.

That's hilarious. And here I was thinking I was the only one who had been given that excuse for cancellation. These people are skeered!!!!

I was just watching the news they are calling for a BLIZZARD!!I did not go to the store.MaybeI will go when the snow starts.I hope there is still food left(Milk Bread and Eggs).People get crazy around here.

In the Florida hurricanes it is the plywood everyone is after. I wonder how you can make french toast from plywood?
