Rep Power: 0 | At least now I am confident in saying I am obcessed with my dog. I always say "this may be weird guys, but I am straight obcessed with my dog." I get some people looking at me like "riiiight" and others who say "oh, my too." I own a 135lb. Rottweiler that sleeps with me, on her back snoring. When I lay down, she feels the need to stretch out over top of me in a protective manner, not that I hate it but when she lays down she isn't moving. My boyfriend gets so upset because she ignores him when I am home, she is the biggest baby, people are scared of her because of her breed, same as pitt's but I will never own another breed of dog. They are loyal, loving, and regardless of how much I pamper her, she could survive on her own, not like a little yappity dog. I just got her picture added to her registration, and they sent me a little card for my wallet with her picture on it incase she gets lost. I even paid for the chip so I can track her. She gets the best of the best cause she is my wittel baby. |

Rep Power: 24 | Yes, as a victim of dog obsession, I have had many wierd looks and mean comments. That still does not stop me from dressing my dogs in special christmas clothes my mom sewed. I used to be a "dog lover" hater, but I can see the light now that I have my own two precious bundles of chihuahua. I have a bad back, so when I get down to stretch, Pepe always comes over and tries to copy what I'm doing so we have a little group yoga going on. I bet your Rott slobbers! I haven't met one that doesn't, but they are sooo cute, no? My cuz just bought a baby boxer/great pyranees and I want to steal it! |

Rep Power: 23 | When I managed a salon in south jersey, my owner would bring the dog, a golder retriever to the salon. I would freak out every time. I do not like dogs, and neither did many of my customers. I also thought it was dirty to have a dog in the salon. And it is such a liability. You might think you know your pet, but so did that guy in Vegas...Roy Horn...with the Tiger. What if it bit a customer or their kid? Then, when i was on the Looking Fit Tanning Tour in south florida, some guy had a whole plethora of pets in the salon. There was a bird walking around on the floor. Dog or cat food in a dish but no pet anywhere to be seen, and some other stuff. Imagine if you were tanning and something crawled under the door? OH MY GOD. |

Rep Power: 24 | FYI, my dogs are so clean. They take a shower with me once a week and they don't go outside. I have made the now informed decision to leave them at home, thank you all. Neon, why do you hate the Pits? Personal experience? Media exploitation? Please tell. I felt the same way until I met some and I have had a change of heart. They are really rough when they play, but sooo sweet! These pits are not beaten and fed gun powder to make them mean. They are just huge lap dogs. I would be more afraid of Dalmations or Chows around children - they are more naturally aggressive. On a side note - I have been reading about dogs and how they are able to tell if you have cancer before the doctors even know. That is so awesome! In a study, one of the non-cancer patient's urine (that contains the pre-cancer smell the dogs can detect) kept being identified as "cancer containing" by the test dogs, and then the supposedly healthy patient was tested positive for cancer. Wow. Think about the impact this could make on the medical world. We can have our dogs "pre-sniff" patients before they tan! (JUST KIDDING). |
