Hello everyone...I was trying to grow my hair out for almost a year now...I went to a local regis salon to get a TRIM. I told the woman I was growing my hair out..that I didnt want the length in anyway altered..that she may add a layer or two at the vary bottom and that was it..I have also been growing my bangs out and told her not even to touch them.My hair was almost all one lenght at my shoulders b4 I went there last night..I also told her that I am allergic to hairspray..Anyways she began cutting the back..I had to take my glasses off so I couldnt see what she was doing..After she finshed with the back she had me put my glasses on and handed me a mirror..MY HAIR WAS 2 IN SHort!! I told her to stop NOW! And I tried standing up out of the chair..She then put her hand on my shoulder and pushed me back into the chair. I asked "What are you doing???? I asked for a trim and u are cutting all of my hair off!!!!!!!!!!!" She replies"Im just adding a couple of layers" I say" Its fricking short!" She says"Dont worry I know what I am doing you will love it!" NOw trusting her I thought "ok" maybe I will and let her continue. WHen she was all done she handed me the mirror. I was so in shock I couldnt say anything. As I went to pay all I could think about was getting out of there as fast a humanly possible. As I was [paying another stylist looked at me,her eyes widened and her jaw dropped and she began to giggle. My hair is now super short again with layers all over!It also looks like I have a bowl sitting on top of my whole head starting with my bangs(she cut)where the first layer starts. I dropped to the floor and balled my eyes out when I got home..My husband ran to me and immediately called the salon. They refused to give him their manager's name and refused to give him the number for their DM. I am going out of the country on vacation soon! My hair is horrid! Not only did she cut it all off but it looks as though someone took a FLOWBEE to my head but worse! It is literally a hack job! I am afraid to go outside..I have a hat but what about dinners and such???? My husband contacted another regis salon in the area and got them to give him their DM's name and phone number. And before making the appointment I told the woman who answered the phone that I was apprehensive about going to a salon and begged them to have a person do my hair that had experience and was the best..this woman literally just got out of school~!Im never going to a salon again..omg!!!Forgot to mention the hairspray thing..she used hairspray!!!!!!!!I had to wash my hair immediately when I got home and take benadryl

um... I dont think we can form a proper opinion on this very serious matter without pictures. Please post a picture of yourself with the new do, and to prove mental anguish post another of yourself curled in the fetal position "balling" your eyes out. thankyou.

Have pics....before and after...and I was on the floor last night..my hair looks worse than June cleaver's hair I am not kidding and I am suing ....also if they are uncooperative I am contacting two peeps I know who work for my area newspapers...I will not tolerate this snotty holier than though attitude...She detained me! I tried standing up and she pushed me back into the chair! That'sssault as well! And if I would have shoved her I wouldf have been arrested..not to mention Women who work at a diff regis salon are willing to completely vouch for me as they saw my hair only a couple days before when I went in to purchase hair care products...Not all salons or stylists are bad...But I will not be truly satisfied unless she is fired and I can cut all her hair off myself

not to mention I own my own business..that was totally unprofessional she didnty listen went agatnst my wishes..Im not one of those people who expects to be totally transformed and look like a supermodel when I walk out of their but what F"ING part of IM trying to grow my hair long did she not understand?????

Yeah...I don't think you are going to have many SALON OWNERS backing up your story unless there are some pictures. From this story I get a person with some issues going to a MALL CHAIN SALON and demanding satification froma bunch of student hair cutters. Now lets look at this from a tanning salon point of view. Professional salon charging $10/session. "Sweat shop" salon charging $4/session. If you willingly go to the sweat shop salon based on the price you have to assume you get what you pay for. Even though you may not have done this based on price, you should ALWAYS be sceptical about ANYTHING in the mall. NOW, is the salon at fault? Yes, but no more than the salons that have been F'ning up my hair for 20 years. You just can't go around suing people.
Pushing you back into the chair? Ok, that's no good.

Honestly, yeah your upset but why would you trust you hair to somebody you dont even know. It's like walking into a dentist and getting a root canal not knowing any references. A hair stylist is the same way. I have always talked to people and asked around before going to somebody new. Not to be rude because I know that if it were me I would be peeed but be thankful you hair did not fall out or anything from a bad bleach job.

My sister in law was just diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer and is having a full mastectomy tomorrow. My best friend lost his wife to colon cancer 6 months ago. My store manager's fiance just came back from Iraq with two shrapnel wounds in his back and a 10mm bullet lodged in his chest. YOUR COMING ON HERE AND WHINING LIKE A 4 YR OLD ABOUT YOUR HAIR????? And as far as "assault" goes, your husband should've kicked you in the arse while you were on the floor "balling" your eyes out. SHUT UP. NOBODY CARES.

FOR ONE, YOUR HAIR WILL GROW BACK AGAIN. TWO ALWAYS ASK FOR REF. NO MATTER IF ITS A HAIR CUT TO A LANDSCAPER, OR SOMEONE TO WORK ON YOUR CAR.
