Hmmmmmmmmmm! that quote has really hit home people! I am putting my salon up for sale asap ,and find a real job one I could actually feel good about,and make my life whole.I sure hope MCDONALDS is still hiring,Ill keep ya guys posted.hahahahahahhahahaha long pause hahahahahaha

My life dream was to be a nurse. I fulfilled that dream when I was 22. I only waited that long because I WORKED until I could afford to put myself through school. I was not born with a silver spoon in my mouth and I still am not afraid to "wipe up sweat". After deciding to have a child I put nursing on hold. My husband and I decided then that we didn't need the second income so I "retired" for 12 years. I got tired of staying at home so I found a part-time job that turned into full time in a tanning salon . After 2 years of working for someone else, I laid out for awhile and decided I missed it, but why not open one myself? Whether you consider it a "career" or not is your opinion. And yes...I am "wiping up sweat" because I want to, not because I HAVE to. I am doing well for myself with my little "career" as I'm sure others on this site are also. I am doing something for myself that I enjoy greatly. Someday I may return to nursing as I always had planned, or I may decide to retire, but for now I'm happy where I am at, college degree required or NOT!! It's all what you make of it.

She reminds me of the other salon here in my town. I kind of get the feeling if she's only in it for the money, then her clients are only walking wallets. If I only wanted a job that would bring some money in for me, maybe I should've taken up babysitting or maybe shoveling snow, raking leaves or mowing some lawns. It'd sure be alot easier!

SOUNDS like you hate your job and you probably SUCK at it...too bad your so bitter about what you do, but don't come here slammin us who do work long hard hours and have a good education..WHICH YOU DON'T HAVE a clue about.

PS. I don't do it for a couple bucks, I own my home and The Salon pays for it..sorry that YOU DO NOT MAKE ANY MONEY AT IT..I sure do...
