Rep Power: 0 | I just recently got my website going: http://www.frontlevel.com Hopefully the navigation is straight-forward. Oh you'll need a fairly fast computer for it to work the way it was designed. Tell me what you think! -solid[ This Message was edited by: solid on 2003-03-18 17:05 ] |

Rep Power: 0 | one thing to keep in mind, as you yourself say, if no fast computer very slow to load, what if potential client has a slower computer and gives up before getting to see what you have to offer, find ways to minimize the load time. I know there are websights that will load your page and then Diagnos it and give you recomendations on it. Try google for "websight diagnostics" |

Rep Power: 0 | Looks good. Since its a personal website and not a company website it really doesnt matter as much how fast it loads. One downfall to this site is the "Mystery Meat Navigation" You can't see what the links go to until you move your mouse over them. That's a big no-no. go here for more info about that: http://www.fixingyourwebsite.com/mysterymeat.html |

Rep Power: 0 | Yeah I had plans to change that, just haven't yet. My original intent was to get the visitor to "explore" as the site is not content driven, but rather visually driven. I do think now that the links should be made obvious at the very beginning to get the full effect. The popup windows for art and guestbook will go away when I get time. solid [ This Message was edited by: solid on 2003-03-19 09:12 ] |
