Near newborn at salon!!!!!! - tanTALK

We just about had a birth at the salon yesterday!!!!!! One of my employees is very pregnant. She was scheduled to be induced on Oct 30 with actual due date being Nov. 4. Yesterday morning she called me after she had gotten to the salon and said they moved up her date to Oct 21 to be induced, so she could still work a light schedule next week. Then early afternoon she called and said she was in labor and her pains were 4-10 minutes apart!!!!!! She was training a newbie.....so I told her to go and the newbie would be fine for 15 minutes until I got there. As of last night they had admitted her to the hospital but no baby yet, we are patiently waiting for the phone call with the details!!!!!

Holy crap, I would have had a heart attack T...Does she know if it is going to be a boy or a girl?
Does she plan on staying an employee with you after maternity leave?

It is supposed to be a girl.......I hope so, since she already has a little boy!!!! Yes she is very eager to come back to work and start tanning again!!! She sayes she is only going to take 3 weeks maternity leave, and then come back for 15-20 hrs per week until season and then be ready to hit it hard again. Why can't I clone her?????

That is great that you have such a loyal employee...hope everything goes well for her and you become an Auntie to a girl

Still no news.....as of Friday afternoon they had stopped her labor and sent her home. They wanted for her to wait another week, but don't think she will make that.....I'm still waiting to hear.

All very fine and nice, but who cares? Not trying to be an uncaring "pr*ck", but I once had a client that lanced a major pimple in my salon, but it's not a topic for people who are trying to enhance the tanning industry. Sorry, just wanna come here for applicable/valuable insight on our business.
