Rep Power: 0 | Wow Mitzi, 15 below. That is COLD! Here I am complaining about it being in the teens. Wind chill is was single digists yesterday, not sure of the forcast for today. As for the snow, send it our way. We need it desparately. Major drought here. We had water restrictions last summer and they will be more severe this year unless we get some major snow this spring. I can't beleive I actaully Want snow but I hate living with water restrictions. |

Rep Power: 28 | We don't get this type weather every year. Some years we only get a handful of dustings. But looks like this year we will be getting hit with the real McCoy Today it is suppose to be about 15 deg. with windchill 0. But tomorrow and the next day is when it is suppose to get Artic Cold! More snow in the forcast for Sunday I think. |

Rep Power: 0 | Becky, I heard you guys had a major drought going on.My boyfriend lives in Colorado Springs. He said they are actually pulling fish out of some of the lakes and transporting them elsewhere because the water is so low and everything is drying up.I was just out there in December....beautiful country...guess I was too in awe of the mountains and Garden of the Gods to notice! What part of Colorado are you in? Maybe I can pay you a visit next time I am there! |

Rep Power: 0 | I'm in SE Denver. Only an hour from the Springs. Please let me know when you come. I'd love to meet you! Yes, many of our lakes were dry by August. We camp and boat during the summer and had to go to nebraska and Wymoning to find water and they don't have much more. We could only water our yards every 3rd day this last year. This year we might not be able to at all! They say this drought is actually worse than the dust bowl days of the 30's. The farms are surviving thus far only because of better irrigation but they are facing major problems this coming year. Many ranches are having to slaughter their cattle because they don't have the winter range for them. sad. It will take a few years of above average snowfalls to catch up. |
