My hubby and I quit a few years ago with zyban. That worked well, but we had a small relapse in June on vacation (too much drinking with old friends!) Haven't thought of trying the patch, we're trying to go cold turkey this time.

The patch really helps me. The reason I lapsed Sat. is that I took the patch off and then started to have a few beers while decorating for Christmas. Two strikes... LOL I am using the Walmart brand of patches and they really do help.

Was on the patch and wellbutrin at the same time, cut down to 4 a day (from 2 packs) all **** broke loose so i stopped the patch and started smoking again, that was 3 months ago. Kept saying next week, next week....it never comes, hang in there mitzi...i'll join ya in january ( i hope)

Fortunately smoking is one habit I never picked up. I have watched family members try to quit many times. My brother has finally kicked it and alcohol. I am pulling for you. Keep on keepin' on!
