What does it mean? It was my dream the other night. The elephant was being transported down a hill in the back of a huge truck... like a dump truck, when suddenly the truck flipped, tossing the elephant. The elephant appeared unhurt, but only stumbled and fell again tumbling over and over rolling down the hill. This dream was so vivid, I even remember what kind of elephant, the color of the truck and how the grass felt as I watched the elephant roll past me down the hill. I was in shocked horror as I could do nothing to help. I could only watch in horror, wanting to help and standing twice to run after the poor creature and help it. Knowing it would be futile, I sat back down only to watch the elephant regain it's footing, stumble and begin rolling again to it's sure demise. The dream ended when the elephant rolled off the edge of a cliff and I couldn't see the outcome.
Anyone know ANYTHING about dreams? Obviously there is something happening in my life or the world that I am powerless to stop. And it's something big that I care about and don't want to see anything happen to. Anyone have a clue? |

Wow!
I don't know squat about dreams...they freak me out. I don't know why but even when I was a teen we would sit around and tell ghost stories...they bored me. But tell me a dream, even a good dream and I'd be scared the rest of the night. |

Something I care deeply about. I like elephants... they are smart, gentle creatures with life long memories. They are my favorite of all creatures. Ever see an elephant with it's baby? Or how about when an elephant dies? All the other elephants care for them, even in death. (I'm getting choked up, just writing this.)

It was neither... this I remember well. The elephant wasn't male either... it was female. Her trunk started to curve down but then curved back up and waving.... kinda like a letter "U". It was the large grey elephant, like you'd find in Africa.

Interesting.. It was a she so she represents "mom" or maybe your position as role of mom.. Laurie, you have been busy with a new life with Sean getting everything ready..yet you have always dedicated 100% of your self to kids..and being mom.. Remember the trunk down means searching or foraging for food or water for the elephant.. up is good..he's moving forward..aware..on track satisfied..
So the trunk in a U shape is good.. Maybe you are feeling at this time in a tumble..but not being hurt..in fact maybe you feel out of sorts because you are getting things in balance at home right now.. Does this sound right ? I'm not a dream catcher..but I play one on Monday afternoons on www.tantalk.com _________________ Christine' "That's right, it is time for the anti-tanning segment of the dermatology community and their comrades to "throw in the towel" and admit defeat!"Don Smith Don't Miss Don In Action[ This Message was edited by: fungirlz on 2002-09-02 17:45 ] |

Yes. A lot of my "life" I let slide getting things ready for the wedding, new job, etc. Life was literally out of control for a few months and now I've begun cleaning up. We're defining our roles in our new family and so far everyone is very happy. Lots of organizing going on, cleaning house, getting rid of stuff and also sorting out how we fit together.

So this was maybe your minds way of cleaning out things..sorting through it..
The cliff I believe means.. it's ok.. I wasn't a wall or a large object it crashed into.. the cliff could mean FREEDOM.... nothing to stand in the way... and you no longer have to tumble, you are free flying.. I think it was a good dream..even though you felt helpless.. maybe that is key here Laurie.. Let Sean set the balance.. you no longer have to foarge...... He's setting you free.. Cool! .. C |
