Rep Power: 23 | My next-door neighbor is getting married on Friday. We grew up together and her father is the assistant superintendent of schools so he got me my job here in town, etc.... She's having this huge wedding, 300 people, $200/head, it's a big deal. My supervisor will be there, my principal, all sorts of assorted administration people. My "date" informed me last night that he can't go with me as his kids are coming up from Delaware or wherever they live with their mom. I AM SO ANNOYED. How am I supposed to find someone to go with in less than a week? "Hi, I'm supposed to go to this wedding and see everyone from work and well, you weren't my 1st choice, but wanna go with me?" |

Rep Power: 23 | Isn't there some good lookin' teacher (always was when I was in school) that is free, or do you have a handsome brother or cousin? My husband and I's first real date was to a wedding. He got drunk and asked me to marry him. I told him no that day and vowed never to go out with the obnoxious lush again. We have been married for 6 1/2 years. |

Rep Power: 24 | I have a very close platonic friend who I hung out with for years... still do. It was important that when I met Sean that they got along. He is simply the person I am closest with that lives here! When Sean is working or otherwise occupied, I will go out with my friend. We do all sorts of "date" things but have never dated. If I had to go to a function like that and my date cancelled, I would ask my friend. If Sean hadn't gotten off work for the Packer/Eagles game I would have taken him. (Thankfully I got 2 more tickets so my friend, Sean and a girlfriend of mine are going.) Don't you have even ONE close male friend you just hang with you could ask? |

Rep Power: 23 | not really.... my best friend (and ex-boyfriend) is someone who I usually take to these things if need be, but this particular family hates him and he hates the bride's brothers with a passion. sooooooo, even if he and I were still together or married or anything, I still couldn't bring him. my sister's boyfriend is also good for that stuff but she's going with him.... so I am going alone and hoping to find a cutie pie there who is also alone. |
