Rep Power: 24 | HP tanning is slow, produces little natural uv protection, usually only tans one side at a time, the tan does not last long and will produce poor tanning in fair and dark skinned people. Most units are too hot and uncomfortable and can cause heat burns if you touch the lighting surface. The risk from HP systems is the high levels of uvb and uvc the lamps produce, if the lamp filter is broken or not installed right or replaced with one that is not compatible will result in severe damage to skin and eyes. Why take the risk? The tan you get for you money is no better and in most cases worse the tan you get from a low pressure system. The cost per session is a benefit for the salon only, not the client. Don't waste you money, you can only get a max dose of 4 med from any tanning machine, HP systems don't give any more, so why pay more for a slower less comfortable and less effective HP system? _________________ Tanning Booths, for people that want only the very best. Rep Power: 0 | Why tan HP ... for me it makes my tan browner, you dont have to go as often if you tan in a hp bed, it helps the skin get back to its natural exfoliation process, and pretty much everyone tans in hp beds. Have you ever tanned in a HP bed if not ya cant knock it until ya try it. |

Rep Power: 0 | Chippp, or someone who has been in the business for 20 years, you don't have a clue! Have you ever tanned in one? Funny how most clients can tan in one every 10-14 days and keep a tan as good as every 3 days in a LP 100 watt bed if not a better tan. Do you even understand the science of how they work? And why it is MORE cost effective? Time, money, # of visits? ect UVC rays? Sorry, last I checked, only the sun will omit those, even with the kolbalt sheild out of place. Do some research and try again. |
