I just wanted to do a weird survey. It's knowing little things like this about people that amuse me.

When you are cleaning a bed, do you use one hand or two?

I use two on the interior and one on the exterior.

One interior, one exterior; one foot to mop oil from floor, all while chewing gum and singing Donna Summer's "She Works Hard for the Money" at the same time.

Most all the salons in canada have the clients clean the beds, they have a bottle of water or windex and a roll of that tuff brown industral paper towel.
That way the client can't blame the salon when they catch something, the salon says "you didn't clean the bed well enough"

Thank god we have spotlessly clean booths! Our clients are so lucky.

one hand interior one hand exterior, the whole customers cleaning there own beds i would never do...thats so dirty..lol.
most poeple dont care if the bed is clean after they tan, and if they clean it before they tan, there wasting time before ur next session, plus customers can give ur salon a bad name.

Ok most salons in Canada do not get clients to clean their own beds and they do use proper cleaner. Chippp, do not sterotype us please. I have 2 beds along with my stand-ups and we keep them spotless!!!

Our clients do clean their own beds....that is the way they want it. So many of our clients say that they are glad they clean their own beds because that way they know they are clean. When we used to have bed cleaners so many asked for cleaning solution so they could "just make sure" we decided to let them do it themselves. No paper towels, nice terry towels--2 for every client. Our employees still go up and down the halls and straighten up rooms very frequently and if they see a bed that is not cleaned they clean it.
Back to your question Mitzi...2 hands on bottom shield, 1 on top and 1 on exterior.

Wax On - Wax Off:

Both hands, hips and shoulders are used when I clean the beds.

Even though I have signs "Please remove shoes", I bought the Clorox Swiffer mop to do my Booths (after every use). It's fantastic. My customers even the mop floor because they love this thing....?
