Rep Power: 23 | ~really... I am still thinking about this whole thing... I was informed that the Sun garden near me hired too many people, so they still cannot hire me....even though i wrote a letter to the owner BEFORE THE PLACE opened.... Then, I write to Hollywood Tans, because I see one opening up near my house..... I get a response from someone, with the last name (ABATE)lol, and they say that they will inform the owner of the Hollywood tans opening up near me, about my interest.... Low and Behold...I never get a response from the owner...and I finally call the owner.... "The salon will be opening up in three weeks, and I have all the people I need already!" he says.... AHHHHHHGHGHHGHGHGHGHGHGHHGHGHGHGHGHGHGHG H GHGHGHGHGHHGHGHGHGHGHGHGHGHHGH!!!!!!! What the ****......? can anybody hire me down in Miami, when I go to college...??? I really mean this...lol ~meltdbutta~ _________________ Trust me its paradise~ This is where the hungry come to feed~ For mine is a generation that circles the globe in search of something we havent tried before~ So never refuse an invitation~ Never resist the unfamiliar~[ This Message was edited by: Bronze Star on 2002-05-20 11:39 ] |

Rep Power: 27 | I have never recieved a letter requesting employment, but when someone calls on the phone asking if I am hiring, I say, "No". Even if I am looking for someone. If they can't walk in the door to ask for an application, I don't need them. Oh and the mothers that ask for their kids! Arrggggghhhhhhh Melted, if you are writing letters, why not deliver them in person? At least you will meet them face to face, and they may realize that you are very serious about the job. |

I only wrote it because I had no idea who he was, and the salon wasnt open yet....their was no number on the front of the salon either.... Dont get me wrong, I know that people should meet face to face for jobs, and I also did meet the owner a few times, because I used their Power Tower every weekend....lol ~meltdbutta~ |

The best thing is to show up in person and let them know you want to work. I have a tanning bed at home chippp..... Free sessions in the Diva DV7 wouldnt be bad though!!!! lol Also, I HAVE been in line, and i still am.... ~Melty~ |

Rep Power: 23 | maybe it's time to do a self check and ask yourself, would I hire me? You seem to come off as "I know more about tanning and lotion than you do." I doubt I am the only one thinking that, I am just the one who said it, don't take it wrong, you may just need to keep all you information and etc in check until after your hired. becka |
