Rep Power: 23 | I have to say he is the biggest ******* around. He came to me complaining that I have a staple in the awning and it is going to rip the awning. Then I asked him when he would get the a/c fixed and he told me not to bother him. So I not so nicely told him toget off my f#####n property. Boy was he upset, I wish he would just disappear. Who likes their landlord? |

Rep Power: 24 | Why would you put a staple in his awning, it will be very expensive to replace when it rips, no wonder he can't afford to pay for the air conditioning as well, He needs to keep costs down just as you do, what goes around comes around. I love my landlord cause ite me! Quote: On 2002-05-10 13:10, Golden Key wrote: I have to say he is the biggest ******* around. Rep Power: 23 | I DO NOT GET ALONG WITH MY LANDLORD AS WELL. BUT IT IS A WORKABLE SITUATION... IN MOST CASES.. YOU JUST NEED TO LEARN TO NEGOIATE ...THEY USUALLY LISTEN TO REASON WHEN THEY ARE Faced with the option of .. filling and empty spot or being more reasonable to the current tenant. mj |

Rep Power: 24 | A good tenant is what all landlords want. But some landlords can be tough. Remember landlord are renting spaces to the highest bidder, they are in the renting business, not there just to provide you with a space to carry on your business. Just like any business, he wants max profit as you do. |

Rep Power: 23 | it was a friggen staple, it wasnt a whole, and if the awning rips fromone staple he really should consider buying a new one, we get some wicked weather here in florida. Landlords suck and are pigs, if it isnt in their favour forget it. Nowonder this location sat vacant for so long. Even his son warned about this guy. |

Rep Power: 24 | Its time to buy your own building! Landloards are running a business just as you are, i bet you don't like it when a clients cracks your tanning bed acrylics, from what you said, in your opinion, you should then be buying better beds or buying booths, Its not the clients problem, you should also charge the clients what they want to pay instead of what it costs you to operate. That dosen't work for you and it dosen't work for your landlord. |

Rep Power: 23 | I love our landlord for #1. She is a dream to deal with. We had a serious parking problem a couple of months ago. I called and within days the problem was solved. I think it helps that she has a business in our shopping center. So, problems that affect us normally affect her also. |

Rep Power: 23 | We went through "****" to get open. We ended up signing on a building where the landlord thought he was "Scrooge" with a huge money bin"! Bottom line if we wouldn't have came out of pocket with of thousands extra money we would have never opened! Chipp I see your point but regardless of a staple in some awning it's no reason not to have her a/c working in her salon. You would think that all the irresponsible landlords would stick to buying houses in the ghetto and being slum lords there but it doesn't always work that way. And by the way this isn't my only business and I have two other stores, and 1 of them is with the 3rd largest mall development company in the country and I have never had problems. Golden Key "READ OVER THAT LEASE" OR HAVE YOUR ATTORNEY LOOK AT IT. That lease is your defense. It will define the landlord's responsiblity. Rep Power: 24 | Time to buy your own buliding! Lets see how well you can do, that if you are ever successful enough to buy a commercial building on a busy street. Then you will have some insite into what you are talking about. Its always best to have your own air coind. most malls will never ever have eonugh to deal with the heat your tanning beds pump out. Good Luck! _________________ Tanning Booths, for people that want only the very best. Fast, Comfortable, Dark Tanning and Hygienic. Rep Power: 23 | oh chippp get a grip on reality, it was a staple, if a staple would rip it then a strong wind would definatly take it down. Lucky for you you own your own building, but arent you the guy fighting an $18.00 parking ticket. And cant seem to get enough money together to get a plane ticket to vegas? Guesse you must have been replacing you tenants awning? Maybe you should remortgage your building ! |
