Rep Power: 23 | To have the tail and both engines fall off is too much ! To hear that recommended engine repairs or over hauls don't take place according to the manufacture recommendation, not until the pilot complains about engine problems. I was on a plane from LA to Toronto the plane flew 2 1/2 hours with a choppy engine then the pilot went back to LA he was concerned. We sat for 8 hours till it was repaired. That engine could have exploded or fell off. I was on a flight to the bahamas the plane took off in a big snow storm after a 4 hour delay, the plane took off ok then as it began to level off it started to shudder violently I look at the attentants their eyes were popping out of their heads!!! I thought number one rule of flight crew should be "never ever get the look on your face that you are going to crash!!!" We had to land in the USA to refuel we used so much getting off the ground we could never had made it to the bahamas. #3 flight to LA The fog was was so thick they could not safley land this was after on plane landed on top of another, their radar at the air port was not reliable. They landed us in Vegas for the night. I don't fly much after all that happened I won't fly at all. Things need to change! |

Rep Power: 0 | Good point Steve! Airline crashes seem so much worse because of the number of deaths at one time. But in reality it is safer in the air than on our highways. Especially during holiday/drinking times. People oftem cite feeling more in control in an automobile. In an airplane you have no control at all. But in reality, the feeling of control on the highways is just an illusion. You never know when someone else will spin out of control for various reasons and hit you before you even know what happened. |

Rep Power: 23 | I live less then a mile from work and can walk as well as drive to it. I don't need to drive on the highway I live in a city, and am surrounded by everything I could need. Plus in Canada we don't have the crine or guns you do in the USA. |

Rep Power: 0 | I am so happy that you have such a safe haven where ever you actually are. You certainly have the right to stay in your safety zone. Our salon is also 1 mile from our home. However, we have chosen to live our life in the wide wide world out there. Traveling is something that we enjoy doing and will continue to do. You have the right to your paranoia and we have the right to reject that lifestyle. |
