Rep Power: 24 | Chunn: Doug McNabb is registered as member 15 and as member 1000! Perhaps a review of the way people register is in order. You had a big promotion around the 1000th member and it is a person who by your own records has registered more then once. All on-line sites are posturing to be the biggest and the best; I understand that but think it should be done in an accurate way! I’m sure if you look there would be many more inaccuracies. http://www.suntanning.com[ This Message was edited by: Bob on 2001-11-09 21:33 ] |

He first registered as DougMcNabb and the second time he registered as Doug McNabb. My guess is that he could not log in so he forgot he was registered and thus registered again. Seems like a no brainer to me. _________________ TanTalk Administrator[ This Message was edited by: chunn on 2001-11-06 19:38 ] | |

Rep Power: 23 | first of all... chunn here can't spell Doug second... why wouldn't Doug just click the "forgot your password" button? How do we know that the newer one really is Doug McNabb? He has not made any posts [with either name for that matter] |

Rep Power: 0 | does it really matter if he is registered twice? He didn't win the contest for registering...and we checked the times for the registrations and nothing is strange there. So get lost since all you ever do is cause trouble tan larue. |

Rep Power: 25 | First, let me say I don't mean to cause trouble. Ya it should matter. Because if it doesn't matter that he's registered twice, you're just validating that you have people that are registered more than once and that you're #'s are bogus. The way to do this would have been to say "Doh!" we goofed, and 1001 is really 1,000. Ya it should matter because you ran a contest to give away $2,000 to the person who guessed when the 1,000 person registered and maybe they did and maybe their guess was valid for the 1,001. That's not the issue. The issue is you guys even having 1,000 people registered to begin with. You show 1,000+ names, but are those unique individuals? So, was it just a mistake or do you acknowledge that people have multiple registrations and that your number count that you've been touting is bogus? Because 1,000 people means 1,000 unique individual's not 100 people with 10 names. Again, I apologize if this rubs someone the wrong way. |
