| So Linda and I are in Las Vegas walking through the MGM, registering for the show and checking things out when we're approached and asked to screen a new TV show. We figure we have a few hours before our dinner with Chunn & Co. and then Margarita Fest with Greg & Co. so what the heck?!!We go in, it's pretty basic, sit and watch a bunch of commercials and one sitcom and then fill out the survey on the little computer touch screen in front of us at the end. We decide to sit in the back because... well, that's the kind of girls we are. We're in the back with four other people, two sets of folks, one on each side of us... so we're in the middle of the back row. As the screening goes on, people lean and mumble, giggle and whisper in each other's ear.... Linda and I basically sit there and watch, laugh once in awhile, she flips me off on occasion and I guffaw at all the right spots which gets people to turn their heads and look at me as if I just grew a third eye. After the second set of commercials, for some reason the Lady in charge... we called her a "B" with an itch, came directly to the back of the room where we were sitting, leaned forward and loudly whispered that there was to be no talking in the screening.We're completely incredulous at this point. Funny thing was, we weren't saying a word when this occurred and at least 5 sets of people surrounding us were actively talking and nothing was ever said to them. So, we decide they're not paying us enough for this and start saying "Shhhh, you're gonna get yelled at!" to those surrounding us. Then we get a little louder (not too loud though) and say "Oh yeah, there's no talking or she'll yell at you like she did to us." By the time we left everyone knew what had happened and the "B" in charge was almost (almost but not quite) kissing our tanned pahtootie's. |
