Most maintenance will be lamps. when youll need them depends on bed, brand of lamps, size of room for heat purposes...etc. next would be acrylics....again depends on bed and how much they get used. then... there are starters...if your bed has them. facial lamps if your bed has them ac parts if your bed has that fans again depends on bed blah blah blah.... ive seen beds with 20,000 hrs on them...$hit i had them in my salon when i bought it. they where fine....work horses. a bed in a gym getting tons of use could be dead and scratched to death in 4000 hrs...in a salon with strick rules and strick maintenance 4000 could look new!

I scratched my lower back but thankfully the whole thing didn't crash in on the bulbs! I asked the girl when was the last time the bench was replaced or maintained? She said the replace the bulbs regularly, but never the acrylic... Has this ever happened to anyone else??? |

This is stated on the paperwork with new acrylics. When I change my lamps, I always stand the acrylics up & check the transparency & scratches. I usually replace acrylics around 4000 hours or so. Customers will start to complain not getting as much color, even if new lamps in beds. I use a UV meter to measure the transparency of the acrylics, so I don't waste my money & replace too soon. Acrylics will break if someone just flops down in the bed & if the acrylics are old. Acrylics will dry out over time from the heat. As they age, they will develop a white tint on them, scratches will be evident & become more brittle and easier to break. When this happens, the acrylics have lost about 40-60% transparency & this reduces the amount of tanning rays to reach the customer. Which can affect your tanning salon's business. |
