this season...

is a tough one..

we are in a heavy blue collar area...

lots of wood and paper mills and HP's World HQ is here..

TONS of layoffs..

The local Chamber of Commerce is telling us to have super deals this year and survive... that people will only spend xtra $$ if they feel it is a great deal, too hard to pass up etc..

or..

do I keep the prices the same and get what I can get from the other non-layoff crowd?

Re: this season...

The hard part is finding a balance. Run cheap and get them in so you work twice as hard or keep prices the same so you make less, but work less and keep the profit margins up.

Re: this season...

we are going to wait until at least may-june to give those super deals, but are running airbrush specials now and seem to be doing well.

Re: this season...

Good advice! Lowering your prices is only going to decrease your revenue, not increase your traffic. Times are tough, even in paradise, apparently. Good luck. God bless.

Re: this season...

You don't get "more volume" from cheaper prices ... you just get more of the same for less income.
