Eyelash extensions - tanTALK

Anyone doing this? Is it successful? What type of licencing do you need, of any? I'm in Florida.

I was doing it for awhile because we were doing other esthetic services, but I stopped doing all of that...I need the room for another bed.

It takes practice, but once you get the hang of it...it can make good money. I charged $50 for a full application and it usually took me about half an hour. So there is money to be made if you're good and you can generate enough interest in your clients.

I had a small handful of people who didn't realize the maintenance involved in having them though. I had everyone read and sign a form about proper care. I also went over that after application and sent them home with a copy of it. There would be the odd person who would call or come in complaining their eyelashes all fell out within a couple of days. I even had a lady who brought me back the eyelashes in an envelope.

I was going to get certified to do them, but found out i had to be an esthetician. The company selling the lashes swore i didnt, i just looked it up the barber board and found out.

I recently got them done. I love them, but was not given any info on maintaining them! I am planning to sub out a room to the lady that does them. I spray half her peeps anyways so it works really well

I think it depends where you live...as far as having to be an esthetician to do them. My sister isn't an esthetician and she took the course with me. We just had to fax copies of our certificates to our insurance company, but there is no other regulation here.

I get them done and LOVE them. I do plan on getting certified to start doing them. In Texas, you don't have to have a license.

I have an esthetician that I know would do them if I need her to, I just wanted to get basic info. I'm brainstorming and haven't spoken to her yet.

What do you need in the room besides a chair? Maybe an electrical outlet for lighting?

A massage table is better. A light and a chair and table. That's pretty much it.

Fake eye lashes are what guys want on a broad that he's paying for by the hour. Actually that goes for fake anything. Maybe if you actually LISTENED to what a guy is actually interested in you wouldn't be having such a hard time with em.
