I am having my new stand up bed installed today. Pricing is my problem. I originally opened with a walkin price of a $10 bed, $15 bed, and 2 high pressure beds. With the "lower pressure" equipment the difference was the amount of bulbs and the high pressure facials. I had a ta catalina w/32 bulbs, and a ta pacifica with 36 bulbs + 3 facials. Both of these were 12 min tan time.

Now i am replacing my catalina (the $10 bed) with a Heartland 2M. It has 50 200 watt bulbs, its a 8 min tan time.

NOW the dilemma, I would like to keep the prices the same so that my tanners with packages can use either bed. It makes the most sense to me to have the stand up at $15 but i am afraid to drop that $10 price point. I also do not want to drop the price of the pacifica bc no one has had a complaint paying that price for it.


PLLLLEASE give me some ideas!

What? What is this with people not wanting to make money?

This 2M is a MONSTER TANNER and must be treated and priced as such cause in an 8min tan time you have to change those lamps twice (at least) as often as that bed it's replacing AND it'll knock a tan on ya WAY FASTER.

You replaced an apple with an orange and want to keep the price the same? That's not going to work. That 2M will out tan your $15 bed all day long.

So you think i should charge more the 15? or keep mboth the pacifica and the 2M at $15

both at $15. That 2M is going to cost some serious $$$ to relamp (compared to those other beds at least) so you need to get top dollar.

Keep your price on the higher end. I made the mistake of taking my rep's advice and priced mine at $8. I've had a h*ll of a time raising it. It's now still only at $9.

well what you can do is have a dry cleaning service while they tan. Shake em down for more money to get their pants back.

Same as EFT in my eyes.

i get 25 and 35 for my hp.... so do you think that 15 is a fair price for the 2m? As of now, i am going to keep the 2m and the Ta pacifica at 15.00. This way buying a package would allow the client to tan in either bed..
