What are you all offering in liew of higher salaries? I.E commissions, percentage of other employees commissions, etc...In slow season it tough to cover higher hourly rates. Thanks

Re: Assistant Manager

The opportunity to be employed. There are a lot of hiring freezes going on everywhere. One of the major manufacturing plants in our city is Honda. They are doing salary cuts to ALL employees.
The perks that you already offer your employees are good enough right now, if you are a salon that is in a tight position. If the employees don't understand this, they must be oblivious to what is going on around them- and if they still don't understand it, just let them go try and find a job- there aren't many available.

Re: Assistant Manager

Well I only have one location with 12 beds but I also have 10 hair stylists, 4 nail tech, massage therapists, foot detox, Migun Massage bed, Permanent Makeup, full retail area of lotions and hair products and starting next week a nurse to do Botox, dermal fillers and microdermabrasion. Oh and portable hot tubs. So I am spread pretty thin because I physically do three of the above services and manage/owner.
So I could use your thoughts:) Thanks Unity for all you help in the past, you are a Godsend.
