Sorta like a car warranty, x number of years or miles. Gift certificates in my state can not legally be expired unless a refund is given back.

Gift certificates in my state are good for 2 years from the purchase date...which most people or business owners have no clue there is actually a law on it....

Rep Power: 2 ![]() | Re: Expiration Dates My 10 Sessions package is good for 6 months. I've gotten very few complaints. (Sure, a few pop up from time to time, but VERY few.) A nearby salon's sessions expire in only 3 months! I think 6 months is reasonable. Gift certificates expire in 1 year. |

![]() | Re: Expiration Dates I agree with Caribbean tan Man... Our points expire after 1 year. If a customer buys more points after points have expired, the old points reactivate. I have also added that any customer who is about to expire can keep them active if they buy $50 in lotion. We call our expiring points customers each month to let them know that their points are about to go, this brings in sales of points and lotion. The staff likes making the calls so they can impact their coimmission. If a customer asks, I will also renew the points, don't want any negative reviews on Yelp! |
