no lotion is moving..

only those people out of tans are spending money..

people are ssstttrrreeeetttcchhing their sessions out.

I was hoping gas dipping would have a good change of business for us...
not so much

yep...continuation of a very bleak November I'm afraid. It's early yet so there's always hope (but remember that "hope" is not a plan).

I guess my dilemma is.. how cheap is too cheap?

to lure people in..

do I have 1 day or 1 / 2 deals..

like open-noon on Saturday..

get a month of tanning for 1 /2 off or ?

we have tanned 26 people today and done $12 in sales

yesterday, 77 tanners and $125 in sales

We have a special going on for one month unlimited, and 25% off a bottle of lotion w/purchase of a gift certificate. My totals are okay, just not moving any lotions! At least it's only the 3rd day of the month!!!

People saved up for Black friday and took some of that spending money from rent. Every year we see a slow down for about two weeks then in spikes and holds til it starts to get crazy mid jan.

I think more people Christmas shop on black Friday more than ever. Seems to prevent the pre-christmas crash of buying. At least around here.

IMO, Do not do deals!

Some little xmas specials is fine, but don't give away the farm! The only people that are tanning right now are the ones that WANT to and would pay for it anyway.

Thats pretty much what I was gonna say. I am doing some specials, but they had their chance for the good stuff last Friday. This is the time of year I pull back on doing specials, etc.

If I do specials now, they are more "restaurant" style. I put one or two specials up, but not "10 tans for...". I do "10 tans in level for $50". Etc. The "blanket" specials are fading away.
