how much more should your manager be paid than your sales asocciates?

hey guys,

i was just wondering if you can help me out. i am a new manager at a salon and i get paid $10 and hours plus bonuses and commision.

one girl who worked here for 6 month (left and came back) is getting paid 8.50 but is looking to get a .50 raise so 9.00. and sales associates get bonuses and commision as well here. Shes prob our best sales associate besides me.

how much more do you pay you managers than your sales associates?

min. wage in my state is 7.15 which all girls start at here.

well you need to take in to consideration, what more of responsibilities do you have?

because some places will just give you the title, and the authority to make decisions. are you doing payroll, schedules, inventory checks, ect.

but i honestly think the 10 hr + comm. + bonuses is a nice pay.

oh me too. either way im not complaining. i was just curious. couldnt ask for a better job. and they pay is good. the bonuses and commision keep me hungry and on my feet! which i like.

Hopefully your sales associate will get paid more only because he/she is selling so well their commissions make up the majority of the pay. :)
