Re: do you have customer price list
Whether or not you have a price list on counter, website, or give them over the phone all depends on your area. If you are the most expensive in your area, and for good reason, you really cant be plastering your prices all over the place for the inexperienced tanner to see. They have no idea there is a difference in equipment, lamps, or maintenance. For someone who has never tanned indoors before, let alone even no what a tanning bed looks like, they call 3 places and get 2 bucks, 6 bucks and 10 bucks....where are they gonna go???? Just my 2 cents worth.

Re: do you have customer price list
I think that is probably very true. Word of mounth and results carry a lot of weight but if you have never tanned before price is going to be the biggest issue and or the amount of time you have.

Re: do you have customer price list
We don't give the customers price sheets to take home. They are posted in the store for reference. Keep in mind...what is in print or on paper stays on paper. When the flyer returns in 3 years, the customers also want you to honor that price on the paper in their hands "they just picked up yesterday.."

Re: do you have customer price list
Mojave your price sheets should always have at the bottom in print large enough to see...
*prices subject to change at any time In the restaurant business you'll see it a LOT on take-out menus. :)

Re: do you have customer price list
I have a laminated counter card with all tanning prices and pics of beds (if they are in use and cannot show them) and on the flip side is all of our massage pricing. We then give out a 2x2 business card (odd shape to make it more memorable and it sticks out vs. a standard size) to drive them to our website to view pricing at their leisure.
If there is ever a price change, we do it in 3 places, website, card and in the register which all takes about 2 minutes to do. By driving to website they can read positive news off our links page as well as tanning tips and look for offers we may have ( always EFT, but perhaps a lotion deal from time to time) When it says prices subject to change (I understand it is a CYA thing) but on a service menu, it just seems to stand out, vs. a restaurant where it is usually written.

Re: do you have customer price list
Prices are subject to change is a must. A simple one page sheet also gives me the ablility to change a price whenever i want. When i have a pakage that i am selling alot of for what ever reason i raise the price $5 or lower a price of a package i need to sell more of. I just pull the sheet up in the computer and make the chage i want make copies and put them out.

Re: do you have customer price list
people who don't want to list there price are hidding something: high prices, bad beds, or bad employees. Who really cares if your competition knows what you sell for. If you are legit and your beds are the real deal Holyfield, you'll kick that *** anyway.
