Ok...now I am pi**ed

Myself & my full time employee are both pregnant. Her husband refuses to let her tan. At first I was kinda upset but then I decided to give her unlimited Mystic tans. Today, she comes in and informs me that her husband doesn't want her to Mystic either. Her baby is due the middle of May. NO WAY in h*ll that she's gonna be working my front counter during busy season being white as a ghost.

I'm already p*ssed off that she doesn't try very hard to stop our pregnant customers from cancelling. SHe just agrees with them & says how her husband doesn't want her to tan either. OH MY GOD!

Am I way out of line here? I mean, I'm pregnant too! I don't have much respect for women who bow down to their husband's every command either. Can she not speak for herself??! Sorry..just venting.

What the **** is going on there???? Doesn't this person know that she SHOULD be tanning from working at a tanning salon and learning the "good news" that the sun is VERY GOOD for a woman with child?

I think I can understand your frustrations. Does it really matter whether she is tan or not? Shouldnt it be a matter of personal choice? Its kind of like the battle of formula or breast milk. You cant make someone choose even when statistics say one is better then the other.

This is a CONFLICT OF INTEREST being YOUR interest IN MAKING MONEY.

Tan or take a hike is what I'd say. She's going to DRIVE AWAY BUSINESS FOR NO REASON.

She should tan, just not the full time, also depending on the bed I have them keep the canopy a little more open than normal to help with airflow.

I don't even expect her to tan....at least Mystic. She loves the Mystic. Now she won't even do that!!

I hope this doesnt up set you at all...but I have to disagree with you. I have 4 children. If I felt that for any reason that doing something that my boss told me to do might harm my unborn child Id hit the road. I understand she is working at a tanning salon yadda yadda she should be tan...and if you have a Mystic I dont see why she wouldnt do that either. It seems as though since this woman has gotten pregnant youve had something to say about it quite a bit. Are you perhaps just looking for some reason to let her go?

You have to understand, regardless whether she blames it on her husband or not, most women who are pregnant with child tend to play by the "rules" because they arent educated about them. We try to protect our children from harm from the time they are just cells splitting in the womb. Can you tell this women 100% that if she goes into a booth that there wont be fetal damage or miscarriage? Im not saying this in a manner to sound like an a$$. Maybe I need to be educated as well.
