Engfant, I bet I can find 100 lawyers that will take this case on a contengency basis. They get paid if they win. There is no money to win for Angelcat, so she would have to pay upfront.

No I only did the same as you and let you know how many employees. ;) It was basically meaning the same thing he's had human resources classes for 24 years and seminars dealing with current procedure and laws. He can talk circles around most people on the subject because he was involved with it on a daily basis...it was part of his job and still is.

If an employee were to try to take me to court I would go forward and spend the money and hire Venable to represent. I get very combative when someone tries to tell me how to run my business, it'll be a cold day in court before they would win.

I myself would never let it come down to that.Maybe its because I spent too many years doing FMEA and implementing company policies when I use to work for somebody.

When I first took over this business,I noticed there were things that I didn't like about existing employees.Since I had to technically rehire them under the new company,I created an employee handbook along with a consent form.

It listed all the do's and don't.What you can wear and what you can't.You can implement any rules and regulations you feel will be necessary to benefit your business,all you need to do is present it to your employees and have them sign off acknowledging they understand the terms.

Obviously you can't put the S**T back into the donkey,but for future reference,don't wait untill its too late.

It really does not take that long,but that paper trail will save your azz in the long run.

If you have to hire a lawyer, even if you win you lose. It would cost you a great deal of money to defend yourself, it would cost them nothing. The question you have to ask yourself
is would I lose any business from her not tanning and if I did, is it worth me trying to defend myself. My daughter was expecting during the last busy season and did not tan. My sales were higher this year than last. In fact a lot of people came to the salon just to see how she and the baby were doing.

My experience is that they don't stop buying because a pregnant woman is not tan.
