Re: Ok...now I am pi**ed
But thats my point. I want PROOF that its bad. If not enough studies have been done, then how can anyone they say this or that?
Dont get me wrong. I am not a fan of sunless, but its part of our industry. Just that saying its pure evil cause is "can" do this or "may" do that is NO different than the associations accused between tanning and cancer. Do you see my point? |

Re: Ok...now I am pi**ed
I see your point. There is proof that DHA can and does contain arsenic, lead and mercury. I would play it "SAFE" and have my clients cover all their mucas membranes. I wouldn't tell them you don't need nose filters because it is "probably" safe to breathe in.

Ok. Update:
I told her that she would have to agree to some "terms and conditions" to keep her job. She signed an agreement. Guidelines such as: -she is to inform pregnant women to ALWAYS check with their doctor before tanning but she must inform them that the UV rays will not reach the baby - she is not allowed to mention her husbands opinions on pregnant tanning -If someone asks her why she's not tanning, for her to give a reasonable excuse...maybe she's uncomfortable, makes her nauseated, etc. Other than not tanning (and being totally submissive to her stupid husband), she is a great employee. She has done great with sales & I am glad that the situation turned out the way that it did. She plans on working up until her delivery date.

Re: Ok...now I am pi**ed
she never told her staff member she had to tan..... she told her staff member to NOT talk negatively to her clients about pregnancy and tanning. if you follow the thread you would see where the problem was. :)
