He bad mouths EVERYTHING that deserves it. Has nothing to do with "making money". It has to do with speaking the truth.

Re: Ok...now I am pi**ed
People DO ingest DHA. How the heck you think it was "discovered". Dripping on the skin when put into the mouth in liquid form.
She has her options, if she refuses to look the part the change her position to bed cleaner. Especially is she is advising clients NOT to tan who do come in pregnant! That is a HUGE conflict since she is NOT a doctor! Clients have expectations, they also have goals. They expect the person behind the desk to be tan and they expect to get tan. If the person behind the desk is not tan, they may have expectations that the beds do not perform. And when people see my great tan, they ask what lotion I use. I could almost sell ANYTHING. Not being tan does impact lotion sales. |

I just hope is not something like the aspartame scare or the saccharin scare. Anything can be a poison once the capacity has been exceeded for the ability of the body to remove it. Just like tanning, moderation is always good. "DHA has been in use as a cosmetic ingredient in the U.S. since 1960 and no problems have ever been reported concerning DHA penetrating the skin, or causing problems during pregnancy. The reason concern remains is that advances have been made in the cosmetic industry in developing ingredients that help other ingredients to penetrate the skin better. This applies not only to sunless tanners but moisturizers and other products." |

Re: Ok...now I am pi**ed
unity i think i already posted some proof as to what DHA can contain. people need to take the time to educate themselves before jumping into selling new products. DHA has never been proven safe for around your eyes... if you buy those so called cosmetics you should find a warning on the label not to go near your eyes. also DHA hasn't been FDA approved for spray, only topical through lotion application... because of breathing in the mist it is not proven safe. They think it's safe but to my understanding (I'm not certain) nobody is putting up the funds to test it properly. I see no harm in spraying a client if you inform them of all the precaustions just like with tanning in a UV unit.
I suggest a HIGH quality filter system in the room. Not just a single fan or a unit with 3 inch fans.
