city sale
We have what is called "farm city days" here in our city...local businesses put their goods out on the sidewalks at very discounted prices. I have decided to participate in this. Does anyone think a mass mailing would be a waste this time of year?? I will offer great deals on tanning packages and products. I know it's the slow season, but I thought maybe this could bring sales up!? Any advice is appreciated...

Re: city sale
We call those "sidewalk sales". Since everybody will show up because those sales are usually pretty big I dont see why you would need to do a mailing since everyone will be there anyway. You could offer a discount on summer tanning and then a very small discount in the fall. By that time people will be "hooked" on tanning and wont mind paying more.

Re: city sale
Does your local paper offer discount ads for these events? If so do that, other wise just post sidewalk sale prices in the rooms prior to the event to attrack some attention. Maybe have a few customers take signs to post at their workplaces. Good luck with your event.
