Can anyone assist me with this, I think the fastest way to increase my membership revenue would be to get out the microscope and start looking at my membership revenues.

I have this really strong intuitution that I am having a lot of members tan, that arent paying, due to lost payment info and whatnot.

Basically, I sell my EFT memberships through helios, but since theres no way to link my helios to an EFT program in Canada, that I know of, I cannot have real time reactions to poeple not paying.

So my EFT processing is handled externally though a company called ASF International.. who handles all of our Golds Gym accounts, and do so very well. However, I have $25,000 in collections to do from people who stopped paying.

Now heres the kicker, lots of times we will sell an unlimited package through helios, print theyre contract and start tanning them, telling them to bring us theyre payment info. Sometimes, theyre contract might get lost, or we lose theyre check, or they bring in a check with no name on it and dont sign it so the check never gets attached to a contract, and so thus the unlimited is active in helios, without us being able to tell if they are even paying or not.

Is there a way to create a report, that tells me how many ACTIVE memberships I have (Ive seen a report that will tell me how many unlimiteds I have in the computer but it doesnt separate them from the 1 week unlimiteds that expired six months ago, and the current unlimiteds)

Management Reports -> Membership -> you can filter by any one or all membership positions used.

If it's an ongoing membership, I typically use an expire date of 12/31/2010 for those, easier to locate ;)

That has been my biggest fear as well. when they are set up on eft thats it they are there. If you are not comparing customers to eft you could loose one or two in the cracks.

okay read it thru. Sorry to say this but tighten up yopur bookkeeping habits. No names on checks, not attached to contracts. admittedly lost checks.

I run EFT's personally and when they default, the account is frozen until paid. If it is not corrected within the default month, they are dropped from the program and only eligible for prepaid monthly (higher price) or prepaid sessions.

Obviously, if they come to us with an issue of a stolen card etc. before it is run, we make provisions situationally. But my theory is if you default and don't correct it, BOUNCE!

Agree....EFT declined you are frozen. We also charge a $10.00 decline fee as we had to pay for the draft attempt and the manpower to contact them. They have a month to come in and pay and if not they go to the collection agency.
Question......How do you guys track and watch for credit cards that are about to expire? Any report to query active members only and credit card expiration in HELIOS?
