Yeah, they have every plow truck imaginable out there, but 30-45 mph wind just making it impossible. Add to that the fact that people around here are not used to driving in this mess. The ice is also knocking out the power everywhere. All my areas are closed except for emergency vehicles or snow plowing equipment.

I was talking to the owner of a major high end hair salon/spa chain. Closing today cost them as much as $100K in gift card sales (luckily you can print GC's on-line -- that will save them!)

A local candy company is out $200K in chocolate dipped strawberries that will now go to waste!

Guess my salon being closed isn't AS bad as I thought until I heard about them!

We have some ice right now, no snow yet, supposed to hit later. Right now i'm sticking it out, still have customers in here tanning and scheduling appts. So we'll see. Might close a hour early or so, later tonight.

We closed both salons today. Last minute Gift Cert folks will still make it in tomorrow. I have much faith in procrastinators.
