Sonos is expensive but Eileen you are so lucky, what a great system. We looked at it but with all the money we are pouring in we needed to do a basic music option, we hope to upgrade later.

The problem with XM in the rooms is that they will take too long to figure out what to listen to and complain about it. I had a friend that did that and he sold all of them and went to a central XM system like mine.

Alot use their Ipods here anyway.

Shoutcast free internet radio is available. Thousands of stations; your choice of menu. I use Rhapsody through Best Buy. You can pick your own playlists for $9.95 per month.

Either the delay on the bed takes care of that or the list of preset's is very easy: rock, jazz, country, techno, hip hop etc.

We have a receiver up front. Each room has a in wall speaker with a on or off switch. The receiver is tuned to local station. So there are 3 choices, the music piped in threw the receiver, humming of the bed( which seems to more and more popular), or byom
