Price Increase that went un-noticed!

Well, I read various suggestions, several options, and came up with a great one that fooled even the "daily tanners".

I made up professional looking signs for the store windows, and around neighborhood that read like this: ------ Tanning UP TO 50 % SALE. NOW UNTIL THE NEW YEAR. GIFT CERTIFICATES AVAILABLE. NEW PLANS AND OPTIONS AVAILABLE.

I raised the prices of individual sessions by 2 bucks for level one, 3 for # 2, and 4 for # 3. Then I am giving 10 % off if they buy one session, 20 % off for various plans, minutes (within a time limit) and sessions. The gave 50% off long term plans , 400 minutes, 6 month "when-never" plans, and 25 session deals. Only the long term deals were the prices actually lower than before, but the number who buy these is so small, it worked great. Come busy season, prices already established and no one has even noticed. On track so far, try it , maybe you'll be so lucky!

I did the same thing 2 years ago - raised prices and had a sale - no one ever *****ed.

Still trying to figure out what you are talking about.... Not to mention any sign you post in your business should be professional anyway.... were your others in finger paints or crayon?

i dont understand either.

seems like she raised prices then put them on sale to hide the increase.

that method seems to cancel out the whole point of raising~confused~
