I'd still demand an explaination out of her. Make her feel guilty and then can her or severly cut down her hours while you can be in the salon so she quits.

is it a computer glitch or is this a regular occurence with this particular employee? get to the bottom of it & if she is stealing... outta there

The FST isn't hooked up to SunTouch and by the fact that we write down the clients on the appt sheet. I verified the sheet to SunTouch and it ties out. The FST is showing more tans than entered into SunTouch or the sheet.

She claimed that she allowed another employee's boyfriend to tan. The story still doesn't make sense, since I was off by 3 tans, not just one. Then she said that if I didn't want her there, that she would politely leave. I am going to get through the weekend and then let her loose.

Caught my employee giving a free tan in the SunboardXTT, off all beds, on camera! Saw his best friend walk down the hall from that room and she expired 2 weeks ago! Watched her throw her towel in the hamper and hug him goodbye. Saw the time on the camera, went to suntouch, checked the time on there and saw he used a level 5 members package to tan her. More investigating showed it wasn't the first time. OUT OF THERE! And also deducted the $32 he didn't collect from his friend to tan in it. I told him to get the money from her. Goodbye.

yes. I was shocked as well that he could think I am an idiot. I log into the PC from home and watch the cameras. he was fully aware. Guess he was hoping I wasn't watching and wouldn't go back in time on the camera footage. :???:

If its a good employee that you don't want to loose as good employee are as hard as big foot to find. So say she has good sells , cleans well etc then try what I did with one of mine it was simple I told her I understand your friends pressure you for a free tan you need to learn to say no or go over pricing with them it cost me money but everytime one of them tans "free" it is going to cost you $7 dollars out your pay. I had her sign an aggreement. Now if her cousin or friend comes in and tans free she herself tells me I you need to deduct a tan.
She got the point quick and I notice its only rarely that one comes in.....and a few of her friends are now month purchasers:)

I had the problem of employees letting friends and family tan for free also. So I now require the person working to sell a free tan to the employee not working and then the employee not working has to put themselves in to tan. That way they have to put their employee number in the computer. They will not give each other their passwords because if something is wrong, I go straight to them. It has been working so far...knock on wood.

It is just ridiculous how people take advantage of us as owners..It also hurts me, because I am very good to my employees, but in exchange I would appreciate the respect from them
