Re: Appointment Book

What she said ^ Any program with a spreadsheet function can whip yall up with a decent appt. book. Arrange for double sided printing, shuffle off to Kinkos and have them copied & bound. Or binded.

Re: Appointment Book

i buy the appointment books from my disty. Write the name or number of the bed on the top and the people that come in are written in throughout the day. I agree w/ neon, it helps me make sure everyone was deducted properly, sometimes yes my employees miss people forget, get sidetracked, etc.

I take appointments but they arent that popular, only during busy season and i have some regulars that like to make their appointments, i think it makes them feel better

Re: Appointment Book

We tried helios for appointments that was a joke. Then we ordered a SMALL appointment book from disty and he sent a LARGE one. I kept it but it takes up way too much room on the front counter. We now do everything in excel or open office. We put post-it notes down one side of a monitor for reminders.

It's always good to have a hard copy back up of what you have done. Computers are great, but they can crash. Even if only a year's worth of back up is kept would be fine. As well as regular back ups of the software.

We had a small crash about a month ago. The previous owner stated that she was backing up to discs (alternating each night). SunTouch support stated that I should install the back up. There was nothing on the disks. Apparently the software was running a back up, but the computer wasn't writing it to a disc. This woman was religiously switching the discs for absolutely no reason since there was nothing there.

Luckily an IT buddy of mine was able to restore the damaged database and was able to redo a back up schedule.
