I had gift cards for awhile but the monthly fees were eating me alive. I went back to in house printed certs (4 to sheet postcard stock). Sometimes they are a pain but I got sick of paying monthly. I may consider one of the options that don't require processing. I do think the cards look nicer.

When someone buys online it sends an email to the salon and we enter it into our cc machine and each certificate has a number also that we put into Suntouch and sell a prepaid into that acct. When redeemed, (if a new client) we change the number to their info and process the sale as usual. If it is for an existing client we transfer the prepaid amount into their already established acct, process as normal and delete the number (client)
