Bridal Shows

we are getting ready to our very first bridal show in Jan.
I was wondering if any of you have done a both at show before.

Any suggestions on what works well and what doesn't?

What information do you have? Do you do specials just for the brides and bridal groups?

Thanks All

Re: Bridal Shows

Did one - not impressed.

I think it works best if you have multiple locations or are in a very small/restricted market. Otherwise the brides are coming from all over, and the odds that your shop is "convenient" enough for even a small fraction of them is unlikely.

The one I went to seemed a lot like the tanning shows -- a cattle call of folks shuffling around looking for freebies.

Your best bet is making sure you get the list of all registrants and sending them a direct mail postcard after the show to follow-up in my opinion. Beyond that, I'd recommend a $10 giftcard or some offer (brides tan free with 5 or more in party buying packages, free face lotion with any package,...?) and try to get it in as many hands as you can.

Let us know how it goes!

Re: Bridal Shows

Done 4 or 5, not sure why, don't think they even paid for money it took to do them. I passed on the one coming up on the 11th. meh

Re: Bridal Shows

Did a bridal show once! Bad Idea for us! Spent more money on it than it brought in! I made sure that I remembered next time never to do it again! I had drawings for pkts, spray tans ,etc. People never even came in to get free items. I can say though is I made up coupon books for brides and bridal parties and they used them up like crazy so that might be an idea. Make them up have them there to hand out with like 5 or so coupons in it and see if they come in to use them!

Re: Bridal Shows

We gave our free tan cards at one a couple years ago. Didn't go over that well.
