Re: SALON LIABILITY INSURANCE? RECCOMMENDATIONS?

Neon, keep it low key young man. My personal business slipped out, but I didn't say anything about having a little "neonlightupmylifealso", now did I? You're a top dog here, close this thread, and hide it please!

Actually Thomco (formerly IMC) and GLS are sister companies using the same carrier. We are a different company.

Re: SALON LIABILITY INSURANCE? RECCOMMENDATIONS?

We are with Insurtec, i have never had a claim so its hard to say how they would handle it, i did ask them what the most common claim is in this industry i was told it is "voyerism" wow i expected so many other things, slip and fall or maybe overexposure etc. it does say with peeping toms being the biggest claim that as a whole we all don't get alot of claims. If u don;t own your building see what your landlord requires, its usually 500 to 1 mil of liability. I had upped to that this year and my rates went down, so ask what price points of coverage gets you the best premium break, they do have big breaks when u get into coverage limits etc. i think i pay just under 2G a year i hope this helps.

Re: SALON LIABILITY INSURANCE? RECCOMMENDATIONS?

The most common claim we have on the liability side is slip and falls. We have had less than 10 peeping tom claims filed in the last 10 years. The second most common liability claim is overexposure.

Property claims such as break-in and fire or water damage are also high up the list with slip and falls.
