Re: One employee vs. three?
We've hired two young girls and an older relative. It's nice to have people that can cover shifts when something comes up with another employee.

Re: One employee vs. three?
I'd keep a 2nd employee for extra, bed cleaner, days off, PROM, SPring break....
My daughter moved on from me, wanted to check out employment that wasn't MOM. College verses HS! It pays to have someone you pay as a bed cleaner with an eye to making them a consultant. When Keri left, the other girl moved into her space, unfortunatly she was great in the winter, and just wanted too much time off, WEEKENDS! felt she deserved it off since working more hours. Let her go and have 1 girl but I will definitly hire a 2nd, she won't have as many hours, but the main person knows there is someone who is interested and trained! It's my experience. |

Re: One employee vs. three?
The hospital we had perdiem employees (kinda like on call) they had to work one weekend a month and certain holidays. They made like 20 cents more an hour but it worked out good

Re: One employee vs. three?
Would it be wrong for me to ask her to clean windows outside? This time of year in Michigan is nasty, mud from the streets. Thinking this might be a little much to ask then again it's a little bit slower today and that would keep her busy.

Re: One employee vs. three?
Girl, you're paying her to work!
WIndows, MY CAR, laundry, vaccum... Your $, they're paid to do what ever you need, want done. They want to sit there and do homework, watch tv.... when it's not busy, So If I have something for them to do they do it ALL. My girls havn't complained, they know it's getting busy but they still clean windows, and DOOR it's a security issue ( Finger prints on door, If you get robbed, less of them if you clean door 2-3 times a day!) I'm serious about it, really! |
