Re: Keep lotions under lock and key??
That's the TiVo in my head.....
I've spent all morning just playing on the computer, it's a clip from the movie Final Destination. I edited the tanning bed scene into an animated GIF for another thread, check it out. freakin final destination movie! then edited it down to the avitar you see. pretty cool, huh! I'm very proud. But where can we get that new bed with the video camera?

Re: Keep lotions under lock and key??
We have ours in an open shelf cabinet behind the counter. We also have 2 trees (not circular ones) on our counter with our lotion packettes on it. I dont trust leaving them where they can grab it and run out. They stole the "good luck money" right off the wall of the other owner when the girl was in the back cleaning a bed. I mean we have a camera, but maybe when we put in another camera or 2 then i'll think about letting them be accessible, but for right now they can ask me to see it.

Re: Keep lotions under lock and key??
ours are on open shelves. it seems to work better in terms of sales. i have done it both ways but seems to work better when the customer can pick them up smell them and read them. we do have the occasional walking of a bottle, but we try to keep one employee up front at all times to try and prevent this.

Re: Keep lotions under lock and key??
Mine are behind the counter on shelves. I like to interact as well with the client re: lotion options. I only keep one bottle per lotion on the shelf (even though overstock is in the back.) Only having one lotion creates a sense of urgency. If they want it for their next tan and only see one, they will buy it rather than buy samples over the next week they "think" it might take for the next shipment.

Re: Keep lotions under lock and key??
We keep ours out in the open. I have some shelves in the lobby that I use to display and then we'll have some behind the counter. I can't say that i've ever had one stolen. What gets stolen is teh chapsticks in the counter as an impulse buy. They just can't keep their hands off them.
