I have mine in glass shelving in the center of the lobby. No lock, but I have cameras on that area, so far no thefts.

We keep ours on open shelves next to either side of the counter. We def want our customers to be able to touch, look at, and SMELL the lotions. We haven't had any problems with theft yet.

Most of the lotion is kept on open shelves behind the counter, but I have wall niches in the lobby area to display lotions as well. I hate having product stolen, but truth is, the lotions sell much better when customers can pick it up without asking for us to hand one to them. It's more of an impulse for them to smell it and then just buy it.

The majority is kept on open shelving behind our counter as well. We have a ledge by our window where we keep our LOTM for easier access for the customer to pick up and handle. We keep some packets on a tree on our counter. So some of our stuff is easily accessable and some isn't. Our overstock is kept under lock and key though.

Glass shelves behind counter. The last row is accessable to customers as they walk past the counter. I put sale merchandise there because I have "lost" a bottle or two in the past. It's never regulars who gank my stuff, it's always the newbies who have a history of two or three visits and then we never see em again once the bottle turns up missing.
