When you submit your information to DS, be sure to include a W-9 form. It says in small print at the bottom of the form that you fax that it is required. When I faxed them my info, they called me back within 10 or 15 minutes to confirm everything and I received my stuff about 5 days later. They sent TONS of samples, t-shirts, posters and a tote bag. Performance Brands also sent some samples, but not as many as Designer Skin. I didn't get responses from any other companies.

I did everything my disty told me to do and I never got any response from them at all. Im not bashing them or anything because I love all there lotions and they are my #1 sellers.

I work for Forever Tan Distribution and have the low-down on Promo Packages...so here's the real deal on free stuff!

The lotion companies need to have the request submitted 3-4 weeks before your event (this could explain why some people never got theirs!)

The amount of free stuff you get depends on the size of your salon. If you only have 2 beds, your package will be considerably smaller.

Des. Skin now requires the salon to submit their own application for promo packages. The forms can be obtained through your disty. You can receive the promo 2 times a year.

Fiesta Sun/Pro Tan, Supre, and Fiji also have promo packages too! These companies let your sales rep from your disty send in all the info for you, so ask your disty!

Cal Tan does promos for salons with 10 beds or more, and you can receive it once a year.

Well I sent mine in 6 weeks before my grand opening and I have a 12 bed salon and i never received anything. I filled out the form my disty gave me and faxed it to DS along with a copy of my flyer. I will do it one more time in for My May tan a thon for MS and see what i can get. I hope this promo goes will all moneys collected friday saturdays and sonday will be donated to MS...

Your distributor should have looked into this for you. Sometimes the promo requests get lost or not received, so your disty should be checking up on it for you to make sure you get it in time! Distributor Reps have easy access to lotion vendors and can get that fixed for you in no time. Also, did you include the W-9 form that D.S. requires? That may be why you didn't get your promo package.

But, call your disty and have them handle it for you -- they'll have a better chance of getting to the right person to talk to!!
