Re: Christmas giftbags/stocking stuffers
If you don't push them they won't sell. We make sure we mention to ever tanner as they leave that if they are looking for a great Christmas Gift Idea or stocking stuffer we have something available and we show them. Each year we get more and more buying them as the people from the previous year almost always come back and buy again.
I also have a contest with my girls that whomever sells the most will get a $25 GC to the mall. Not a big prize but better than nothing. It seems to work we have almost sold out. Last edited by canadiantanguy; 12-20-2005 at 11:46 AM. |

Re: Christmas giftbags/stocking stuffers
My Gift Bags are really my older lotions I want to get rid of.
I give away the lotion with 6 months for $180. THe bags may incude, X Power bronzer $75 value, or Tingle that I can't sell, Artic Fever $42 ( with a "tingle warning") Our card says: $180 Total Package 6 consecutive months tanning FREE Artic Fever- $42 = $23 a month for tanning. ( Percieved value! I need the money now, I'll be busy soon and the packages will be gone.) Our normal prices are $45 for a month, and $90 for 90 days. I sell alot of these Gift Cards so to up the sales... new gift bags! When that husband comes in that buys $90 for 90 days I tell him go for $180 for 180 days and I'll give him $75 X power or $42 Artic Fever.... Based on what I know his wife uses. I even have $20 Splash as one of my packages. Most of the more expensive lotions go first, but they were just sitting on my shelf and I made a larger sale. If I had more money I would have bought the new line of lotions and put them in packages debuting the 2006 newest, latest, greatest. I was recovering from cancer this year and spent more on labor than normal, but the bill are paid and I'm able to work again, with no cancer! |

Re: Christmas giftbags/stocking stuffers
Glad to hear you're better jlucas. However, no matter what the percieved value is for our customers, they're too cheap to spring for $180. lol

Re: Christmas giftbags/stocking stuffers
Just checked out your site, you sell a year for a little over $180 so either give them a lotion that is not moving for FREE with a year just so you can have a sell in your OFF session. Or do 6 months for $150 with Free lotion, if they are tanning now you can still get another sale out of them next year in the winter.
They are coming in, it's just figuring out how to keep them, I do a renew today before you expire for a 10% discount, it's working. So here's to winter sale!! ugh, also just hit me Buffalo NY, there is probably snow on the ground! My daughter is going to Attica, like the prison, for Christmas ( not in prison) her New Husbands family lives there. Maybe you should try a half price session when it's actually snowing outside. THey do that here at a ICE CREAM shop. Second scoop free when it's raining or snowing!! |

Re: Christmas giftbags/stocking stuffers
UUgghh...Attica. I used to work up that way. It's a cute town, but the cow population outnumbers humans. And they tip them for fun! If this world is small enough, I'd probably know your new son-in-laws family. We'd probably lose our butts offering 1/2 off when it's snowing. Cause I'd lose money right now.
Back to business....let me check with the boss (my mother-in-law lol). She'll probably go for it. All great ideas that would probably work here. Scratch that, I just sold another gift bundle.

Re: Christmas giftbags/stocking stuffers
We sold 8 stocking stuffers for $15.00 each. They contained a lotion packette, moisturizer packette, SPF lip balm & a coupon for 3 free tans in our base bed. The coupon must be redeemed by Jan. 31, 2006.

Re: Christmas giftbags/stocking stuffers
Well update on my gift bags.....I sold 3 yesterday and this morning one lady bought 3. 6 was way more than I could hope for the first year I did them. I left the salon early so who knows we may have sold more! Gotta love the last minute shoppers.....looking forward to tomorrow :)
