Patty, Thanks a million for the idea of attaching fliers to pizza boxes. We only have one pizza place in town and I just called them and they said they would be happy to do that for me. I'm making flyers up now on bright florescent paper. Thanks for idea.

I just recently had a grand opening at a new local with new beds, I am one of two in a small southern town pop. 7000 or so, Before my move, things were so slow...... the first week in my new building, new beds and everything, I did a free tan week..... It worked better than I had dreamed... I also am giving 10% discount on tan packages to teachers and students, and even though it's the slow season, my salon is paying for itself this month..... good luck

lol all good suggestions for the most part. We have not had are grand opening yet. Hoping sooner then later. Working with a local night club to have a VIP section named after us with are banner posted on the wall. Who ever rents it out get some sort of deal from us. We are also co-sponsoring one night where they hand give away GC and share radio expence and time.

We had a 3-4 week lull in radio adds and finally got them back on last week. Biz has been picking up. We have only been open for 2.5 months and have 247 clients on the books. Want to start planning a grand opening soon to get some more publicity.

Here's what the SMART salon owner does(Yes, that's me) the only reason I don't have my 3 salons after 15 years in Manhattan is cause I split w/my hubby.,and we went our separate ways. I moved out of the city after 9/11. Ok to increase profits we sold Miracleskin's line of skin care products. (www.miracleskin.net) They have the 1st topical Botox like serum that glides on your wrinkles and literally smoothes them out, Face and Neck cream, and Eye cream. When we first started selling them ALL our women clients took samples and used it as an after tanning moisturizer, etc... day by day , the word got around and the results are amazing!!!!! $$$$$$Swear by these products.
