This might help out a little: I went to the dollar store and got little Christmas clear bags with ties. We are going to put all of our lotion pkts. that did not sell for the year in them. I make up tags to put on them telling them if they are tingles or bronzers or mixed lotions. And sell them for $5.00. Did this for Halloween and made a killing on them. Hope this helps!

I did 40 bags and made $200 and ran out before halloween. This was the first time I had ever done them! People loved them and I am sure they will go even better for Christmas as an add on to any sale!

How many packets in each bag? And each bag was a dollar? And you sold them for $5.00? So how much did you actually make on each bag? Couldn't be $200.00 total.

I think it could be a great idea...if you really make $$ on them?

You get 30 bags for $1.00 I put 2 lotions and a moisturizer in them. That way the get the tanning lotion and a pkt of moisturizer for later. That way the get interested in the moisturizers also. And the bag break down to .03 cents per bag can't beat that now.

They were all different cost. But it beats them just lying around and not making any money on them. Some were lotions that we do not carry anymore or over stock. And it was a way for some people who do not use lotions to try some. And that was a way to get rid of them. Most people are to tight to buy a bottle or a single pkt. But they could not resist the bags.

Yeah did that last year for christmas...and will not do that again. The problem is people kept buying the **** packets and it hurt my lotion sales. Halloween yeah maybe could see it....not too many people coming in...but xmas we start to pick up and people will pay full price for 1 sample so why cheat yourself to basically sell 3 samples for $5.00. The samples that we have that do not do well...the primary thing we use them for...are the clients who swear they dont need lotion, or the ones who bring in the cheap crap...we keep some on hand for those purposes.
