I have been in business for about 3 years now. Ever since the gas prices went up, my business started to decress from day to day. I average 8 clients a day, compared to 20-25. I'm running out of ideas...I have sent out 500 "tanning special" postcards, and not out come. Does anybody have the same problem? Please share your ideas....tank you...

My opinion? Don't waste you $$ when they won't come anyway. When the price of "essential" goods go up dramatically, only the hardcore tanners will divert funds to a non-essential service such as tanning. In essence, when disposable income decreases, so will your revs.

No doubt about it. High gas prices has affected discretionary spending. Tanning has taken a big hit. I would hunker down, reduce operating hours, reduce staff and hours, look at your financials carefully and see what else you can cut. Determine your breakeven point. You are probably running well below the B/E point right now, so conserving cash is paramount.

I see around 40-50 people a day but no real money. I've gotten to teh point of just asking people what they are going to buy today??Kind of blunt but who's kidding who we need som money. This is the slowest I've been (money wise) I hope it doesn't carryover to next month.

I have been doing around 20+ a day this past month. The last couple weeks signing maybe two a day up. Feels good but where's the money. I barely sell lotions except to the one or two long term people we have.
