Where I go to tan, the employees don't clean the beds. We clean them ourselves. I just joined this website today and was reading over alot of these topics and noticed that on SO MANY of them...the employees go in after the tanner and clean the beds. The lady at the place that I go has cleaning solution in the room so we clean our own. Also she does have the little dish so we can put our jewelry in it so we won't forget. I don't think seh even goes in the rooms much at all.

We've had this issue a few times. It happened to me about a week ago. I went in and cleaned a room, cleared the timer, and the customer met me on my way out. She reached down, and directly under where the door "swing path" was her necklace. I never saw it, even though I likely practically walked on it (or came close).
It happens. You can't hold us responsible, as I didn't sue the Bally's Gym when cash, my wallet and keys were stolen from a locked locker/my car (right before a ski trip). The thiefs got about $3k in ski gear with our stolen credit cards (none from me since I cancelled all cards while still at the gym). |

Missing Ring - Melissa Andrews 5/11/2005 10:11:23 PM A Terre Haute woman has a desperate plea...asking the person who took her engagement ring to return it before her wedding. Tiffany Billotte is getting married in just a few weeks and says the ring was stolen from a local tanning salon. "When I got out, I was in a hurry and just got dressed and grabbed my stuff and I left and i left it there," she says. Billotte was horrified when she discovered her left hand bare, without the engagement ring she's worn for 2 1/2 years. "As soon as I got to my friend's house, I realized I didn't have my ring or my watch on," she says. She'd left it behind at a tanning salon Tuesday night, taking it off and setting it aside while she tanned. "I immediately called the tanning salon as soon as I got into my car and they said it wasn't there." Billotte says her wedding, just 17 days away, won't be complete without her ring. "I just don't know how I can even plan a wedding knowing that I'm not going to have my engagement ring knowing that somebody has it and they took it and they know it's not theirs and they know what it represents." Meanwhile, detectives are investigating the tanning salon and it's employees. "An investigator was assigned to the case and he went out to the business and attempted to talk with the employees and folks that work there. He was met with a little resistance and the employees and the owner elected to speak with an attorney instead of us," says Captain Kevin Mayes of the Terre Haute Police Department. Bart Mooney of Get More Tans says, "Our girls would be happy to participate with a lie detector test as long as the bride does." Billotte says she'd take a test, but she hopes it doesn't have to get to that point. "I just want the ring. That's all i want. I don't want revenge. I don't want to prosecute anybody. I just want my ring back." If you have any information about the missing ring, call Terre Haute police at 238-1661. Nice story. She probably lost it doen the drain while washing the dishes and needs a scapegoat.
With us, if we get to it first, we put it aside, in an envelope, dated with the cient info and what room it was found in. Then it is noted on the clients "screen". If we don't get to it first, too bad so sad. Make sure you have signs posted to that effect, also have it on your client consent forms. I have also had clients rant and rave about how they left it in our salon, only to hear from them two days later to tell us they forgot they brought that watch to be fixed........... |
